Went to Shams' place today. Strange how i have been at Stanford for so many months now, but there is a very small set of places i have been too...the curse of eventually falling into a routine. Khair, it was nice to visit a new road and my first 'house'. I really liked the fact that they had pictures, of everyone who had ever lived in that house, on the living room walls. Shams can come back and see his picture somewhere there too one day :)
Anyway the motivation for this post came from an idea that Shams had for his photography class...but i can't share that till his project is submitted...so coming soon...a really cool idea!

Really! Well I have an idea for you, create a photo journal!! A while back I came across an article written by a theoretical physicist, Dr. Michio Kaku, on mans perception of time. According to Dr. Kaku mans perception of time is linked to the creation of memories. The more memories you have of a certain event or stage of your life the more you will have learned from that phase of your life. Notice how time seems to pass more and more quickly when more of ones life is taken up by mundane routine, events and behavior. The trick to beat this speedy passage of time is to continue your ‘Sham like’ adventure and make an attempt to create a life-long learning mentality. Ensure that there are parts of your life which you find challenging which means that you will eventually manage to slow down your perception of time. Either ways take time out of your day to take one photo which will capture the essence of your day, after you’ve managed to keep this up for a few months you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how many days of the week will have memories attached to them. At year end you will literally be able to recall everyday that passed you by….basically time won’t fly. However, this won’t work unless you create some ‘new’ thing to do daily. Disclaimer: I have no clue how good or bad your memory is, so if after doing this you still don’t feel a difference then I suggest taking videos!
Also I suggest you read this article http://www.mkaku.org/articles/hyperspace_theory.html also written by Dr. Kaku.
